Meladerm Skin Lightening Cream
Your skin color comes from a natural pigment called melanin. Melanin pigment is synthesized in specialized cytoplasmic organelles called melanosomes Within the melanosome, the enzymatic conversion of the amino acid tyrosine to melanin is catalyzed by the enzyme tyrosinase. The melanosomes in darker portions of the skin are more active than those found in normal areas of the body. The ingredients found in Meladerm formula counter this process in multiple ways by dealing with not only the melanosomes, but also the enzyme tyrosinase.
The
Meladerm formula incorporates some of the latest skin lightening technologies.
Meladerm not only works to brighten the overall complexion, but also
visibly reduces the appearance of:
- Hyperpigmentation / Dark discolorations
- Melasma / Chloasma
- Age / Liver spots / Sun spots
- Freckles
- Tans / Sun damage
- Acne marks
- Birthmarks
- Old scars
- Dark elbows, knees, underarms, knuckles
- Uneven skin tones

Clinical Studies on Meladerm
Meladerm works by combining the properties of the most effective and safest active ingredients. To view some of the clinical studies performed on a few of the active ingredients in the complex, visit the links below:
View Clinical Studies:
Short-term in vivo skin-lightening study: A skin-lightening study on 80 women demonstrated that Alpha-Arbutin & kojic acid resulted in a faster and more pronounced lightening effect after 1 month when compared with other commonly used single components at recommended use levels.
In vivo liver spots efficacy study: In a 3 month study on 26 female volunteers, alpha-arbutin minimizes liver spots more efficently than beta-arbutin. The figure below shows satisfaction quotients relating to the evaluation of the liver spot reduction.
Meladerm Use
Wash
and dry skin. Apply an even layer over the affected area twice daily.
Massage thoroughly until cream is absorbed completely. Best
results if used after exfoliation scrub. As with all skincare products,
please consult with a dermatologist prior to use if you have any underlying
medical conditions or general concerns. Long term treatments with any
product should be monitored by a medical professional.
- Apply once in the morning and once at night for best results.
- The use of an additional wide spectrum sunblock of SPF 30 (or higher) is strongly recommended.
- Wait 10 minutes before applying makeup and/or sunblock.
- Heavy sun exposure should be limited. Avoid the use of tanning beds and/or sun lamps.
- For topical use only and should not be ingested or used in the eyes or mouth.
- Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight.
- Do not dismantle the container as this will allow air and light to oxidize with the product.
Warning: Avoid contact with eyes. Some users may experience mild skin irritation. If irritation becomes severe, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Spot test for allergic reactions on the arm or neck prior to using any product on the face. Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing. Not recommended for children under the age of 12. For external use only.
Are there any serious side effects like cancer? The ingredients in Meladerm are not classified as carcinogens. As with most skin treatment products, your skin may become extra sensitive to the sun during use. Heavy sun exposure or the use of tanning beds and/or sun lamps may increase the risk of skin cancer in individuals with fair skin. It is recommended the use of a sun block during the treatment.
How long does it take to see results? Generally you will begin to see initial results within the first 2 weeks of regular use. If the pigmentation in the affected area is extensive, results may take longer to appear. Most of customers report seeing full results after 2-3 months of continuous daily use. Results will vary depending on your skin type, condition and the amount of sun exposure you receive on a daily basis.
Are the results with Meladerm permanent? Do I have to continue using the product after I achieve my desired results? If you are using Meladerm to reduce the appearance of hyper-pigmented areas (skin that is darker than your natural skin color), the results will generally be permanent. Some users find it necessary to use small periodic applications from time to time to maintain the effects of the product. Sun exposure should be limited to maintain results. It is recommended the use of a sun block of SPF 30 or higher. Extended use may cause excessive skin lightening.
How long will the Meladerm 1.7 oz size last? On average, the 1.7 oz jar should last 1-2 months if used twice a day to treat affected areas.
Should Meladerm be applied preciously on the dark spots or in the general areas of the affected skin? The skin lightener should be applied in the general areas of the affected skin. For example, if you are treating several acne marks on the forehead, cheeks and chin, you may apply the cream on the entire face in order to gradually fade the spots.
Can I use Meladerm to lighten freckles, melasma, sun damage, acne scars, dark spots and liver spots? Yes. It work very well to lighten all types of hyper-pigmented areas on the face and body.
Can Meladerm be used on the body? The cream is very concentrated and generally used on the face, hands and neck. However, there is no harm in using the cream on larger areas of the body. Meladerm is for external use only.
Can Meladerm be used to whiten the entire complexion? Extended use of the product may provide a whitening result on the skin. However, removing large amounts of your normal skin color (through the use of any skin lightener) will decrease your skin's natural defense against ultraviolet light which can lead to excessive sun sensitivity and irritation.
Can Meladerm be used by men and women? Yes. This cream is suitable for both men and women. The cream can also be used on children above the age of 12 when administered by an adult. Please consult with a doctor before use if you have any special skin/medical conditions.

Lokeelee:
I bought it to lighten some dark spots on my forehead and chin from
pimples. But I also want to even out my skin tone and maybe make
it a little lighter by 1 or 2 shades. So far I have seen the spots
getting lighter. I am able to easily cover them up with makeup now.
Plus my mom and sister have also said my skin is looking much better
since I started using the cream.
NikkiS:
I used Meladerm last year and it worked very well for me. I had
a dark "mustache" above my lips. It wasn't hair but instead darker
skin. I also used it on my face for acne spots. All the acne spots
dissapeared. The area above my lip is much lighter (still a little
brown) but hardly noticeable. The hardest part about using the cream
is remembering to use sunblock everyday.
Pvteyetn:
I have used MELADERM religiously twice a day for an entire $50 bottles worth.
I have seen NO results whatsoever. I had better results with Oil of Olay Definity
products which are much more reasonably priced.
Natedoggg:
I bought meladerm from their website twice and got it in just a few days both times.
Meladerm really works so maybe you should try it. If not they give you your money back.
IshanM:
Not everything works for everyone. Actually I've used Ambi before and it didn't give me any good
results but that doesn't mean its worthelss. I've been using Meladerm and it has given
me good results. My friends recommended it to me and they all use it with good
results too. Plus like carmelicious said, they wouldn't still be in business if their
products didnt work for most people.

I ordered the Meladerm 1.7 oz cream and their Eye Cream last month. The Meladerm is working
really good and I'll say that my skin has lightened almost 2 shades. I dont want to put my
own pictures on the itnernet so I made these links:
This was my before skin color... this is a picture of naomi campell (NOT ME).
But you can get a good idea of what color I was:

This is AFTER 1 month. This is a pic of beyonce (when her skin isnt super light) This is what my color is now:

My whole face is also looking smoother and the pimples are going away slowly too.
The Eye cream was too strong for my skin and made it red so I returned that. I duno why you
had so much trouble blackbeauty but they took back the product and gave me the refund
realy fast. All my emails get answered in 1 or 2 days. I've never tried calling them
so I duno about that. I didn't try the cleanser so maybe youre right about that part.
I think all you really need is the meladerm and a sunblock. Thier cleansers and toners are
probbaly for people with malasma or pigment spots. Anyway these are my results and if I
keep seeing improvement I'll post again. BYE

I can say from personal experience that
this stuff Meladerm does work for moderate cases of melasma like
mine. I've had mild melasma above my lip and cheeks after having
my second son (strange it didn't happen the first time around!).
Even one year after I gave birth, the discolorations were still
there. My doctor had originally told me to be patient and that the
skin will return to normal over time as my hormones started to balance
out. I waited over a year and I saw very little change. I ended
up going to another doctor who prescribed my Tri-Luma which I used
eagerly for about 4 months. I guess it did not agree with my skin
and it looked like my melasma had become WORSE! After this I did
some research on my own and found this product Meladerm. I have
been using this now for just a little over 5 months and I am finally
seeing some improvement. I use meladerm twice a day and also use
La Roche Posay brand sunblock... Anyway, I thought I would pass
along this information for anyone that is still battling melasma.
I don't think I have won the war yet, but I have high hopes.

I had some dark spots on the back of my
hands (from the sun..yuck) and it did fade them over time. Granted,
they did not fade completely, but the spots are much lighter than
before and my hands look much younger. But you always should keep
in mind that if something works for someone, it doesn't necessarily
mean it will work for you. Everyone's skin is different so not everything
will work for everyone.

Answers: Does Meladerm work?
I have used meladerm (and still do). I had
dark brown spots on my forehead from pimples and it did an excellent
job of fading them. I saw some slight results in the first couple
of weeks but nothing major until about the second month. I think
its a good product overall. There are many fade creams besides Meladerm,
but I choose this one since it had very good ingredients. Do some
google searches on skin lightening ingredients and you will find
alot of info out there.

Answers: Meladerm? scars, pigmentation, hyperpigmentation, dark
patches?
Meladerm is a good product if you have hyperpigmentation
on your skin. I've been using it for over 2 months and have noticed
that the brown spots left from acne have faded. I still use the
product to maintain the results and to keep other spots from forming.
It does not irritate the skin but it does cause a little dryness.
Overall Meladerm is a very good product in my opinion.
